Location: Moved from levee to a stretch of Corps of Engineers Land that is timber where birds are crossing.
Temp: Cloudy with morning temps in the lower 30's warming to around 40 by midday. Light winds with a hint of fog from the snow melting.
Setup: We walked approx. 200 yards from parking area to a old electric line that was cleared on both sides about 20 yards on both sides of the timber. We hung 4 decoys, our Quest Outdoors "Crow Masters", and the speaker to our e-caller from hangers on the wire. *NOTE - This electric wire is long gone since used last....... we only hung decoys from the tensioning wire.
Results: The timing of our move affected the overall kill...... but we did scratch another 6 birds with much better shots. They did buzz over low for a good luck.
