It
has been a pleasure to have had a close relationship with Jeff Foiles and the
Foiles Migrators Team over the years and to see the "Strait Meat"
call line evolve into what it has become today. I want to start out by saying
that when it comes to calling................I stink! The way I see it is as
long as Mallard is with me, I couldn't possibly need to call.........he has
it covered. However...........even though I stink, I can still hold my own if
I had to because the "Strait Meat" calls I have can be blown by anyone
with ease. Below is an experience with my "Strait Meat" calls.
Mallard
and I were attending a video shoot with Buck Gardner, John Vaca, Tim &
Hunter Grounds and a whole lotta "good ol boys". During the hunt/shoot,
I fell into a position. I was faced with 5 "paid hunters" in a blind
and I was the only thing close to representation of the club as far as a guide
was concerned. Boy did they fall on hard times.....I thought. Thinking of
the club, I jumped up and started "taking the reins" and galloped
full steam ahead! I knew that I stunk, but I did have my "Strait Meat"
Mallard & "Strait Meat" Honker and they wouldn't let me down.
I got my calls and preceeded to "bring um in". We even killed a
few birds. If I can pull off guiding with my Foiles calls, imagine what you
can do with them.

calls are pictured to the right........my color choice......Black and Green!
My "Strait Meat" Mallard call has been altered, it has some great
inscription work done on it by Roc Lucas of "Inspirations On Call".
Foiles calls are definately worth checking out..........especially if you are
a beginner.
